It all started on Friday 26th. A hopelessly wet day which caused our
ground-crew to get soaked and desperately. Nevertheless they did
their jobs and got everything ready for weekend.
We
concluded the evening with baptising Danny Cabooters OO-GWB which has
completely been overhauled and repainted. The aircraft is now back to 0
hours and in mint condition.
Saturday began and ended as a dull grey day with
clouds hanging at less than 1000 feet which meant : NO FLYING and NO
VISITORS. We got even more desperate. Although the weather was no good, we
had a lot of people that came to the airport and had a look around.
In the evening the BBQ was a bit chilly but there was
a lot of ambiance.
Sunday started a bit cloudy but there was a ray of sun
peeking through: everybody was smiling again and the first visitors came
through. It turned out to be a bright and busy day. The two Spitfires
arrived right on time and John Romain gave us a stunning 15 minutes of show.
Thanks John!!
Hereunder, the full list of attending aircraft thanks
to Willy and Rina who did a marvellous job at the registration desk. Thanks
also to all volunteers who made this 16th Fly In to a success and thanks to
all those enthusiasts who came to have a look and supported us with their
enthusiasm.
