It all started on
Friday morning
when we had to prepare the general aviation tarmac. The weather was nice and
sunny, the spirit good and the bodies fresh....
On Saturday, the sun was high up
in the sky, with a nice wind to cool us down. As for the visitors by air, we
had a fair number of them, although the English Stampes gave a no show. Later in the
evening three German Stampes turned up and made the day.
This year the Ercoupes turned
out in large numbers : 8 of them made it to Antwerp. According to the
English owners this was a European record
On Sunday, the public appeared
'en masse' to enjoy a nice day out at the airport with hot weather.
Like last year, we had the
company of re-enactment groups who contributed with their version of life in
1914-1918, much enjoyed by the visitors and our ground crew.
