Deurne Aeronews was first
edited in 1972 and was the journal of the then Delta Fan
Club. As we had to change the name of the society in 1977,
we also changed the magazine's name into Aeronews of Belgium.
Aeronews is currently in its 32nd year of publication.
Aeronews of Belgium is the only aviation magazine of its
kind in Belgium and is edited in Dutch. Every two months, It
is the main link between our members. On an average of 32
pages, one can find a number of regular articles, such as
avionics, air show reports (summer time), changes to the
Belgian Civil Register and newsflashes, and some more
historic articles on the Belgian aviation scene. Most of the
information given, is linked to civil aviation in Belgium,
but the more military oriented member will also find what he
is looking for. Members who want to share their information
are free to enter their articles; which we are looking
forward to. |

Back in 1981, ASA published
its first Belgian Civil Register. At once we knew that there
was need and interest for such detailed information. We
therefore decided to start a sub division which was to occupy
itself with the Belgian Civil Register; the Belgian Civil
Aviation Research Group (BCARG for short) was born. As soon
as possible, a monthly magazine was started. They keep their
readers informed by means of photocopies. Actual as well as
historical information with one common interest : Belgian
aviation in all its forms, are published here. BCARG
Newsletter is based on the information supplied by its
readers. Here you will also find extensive spotting reports
on different airfields. May 2003, saw the publication of the
9th edition of the Belgian Civil Register, which in the
meantime, has become THE STANDARD on Belgian Civil Aviation.
The Federal Administration, companies and individuals, they
all use it. |

By the end of 1997 we saw that
some of our members also wanted to be kept up-to-date about
the international aviation scene. Therefore a third magazine
was started. On a bi-monthly basis news about new
airlines, fleet expansions, accidents, etc... is published
in Fasten Seatbelts. Spotting reports, descriptions of
museums abroad are also published when available. |
